Concerned residents of Quintrell Downs will be pleased to know that once again the Fortdown Ltd Planning Application for 117 houses and industrial buildings on the fields on the SW corner of the roundabout was refused. It means that the character and appealing structure of the village will remain unaltered. There is an Appeal process to be heard during the first week in December against the previous refusal decision on a very similar application by Fortdown Ltd made in January this year. Our ward councillor, John Fitter, and his neighbouring ward councillor Harry Heywood will be speaking again on the behalf the village. The outcome of this Appeal will be reported on this site but it is not likely to be forthcoming until the New Year. |
