You will probably be aware that Fortdown Ltd has appealed to the DoE against the refusal of their application that was heard last January (Jan 09) when we had a site meeting etc in the village. Now Councillor John Fitter advises there is a planning meeting at The Old Restormel Offices at St Austell on Wednesday 16th September 2009 commencing at 5PM (6 items before us).

The meeting will explain Cornwall Councils new approach to that appeal due in early September 2009. John Fitter would like to see as many as possible of our villagers to show up on the 16th September to demonstrate the depth of concern at the thought of nigh doubling the village. Lifts are available.

Please do address your attention to page 67 of The Cornish Guardian dated September the 9th where there is Notice of a planning application by Fortdown Ltd on the same land with adjustments to that within the application which is the subject of the appeal above.

There were many letters of objection sent in prior to January 09 and those wishing to again object should send their letters to:

Planning & Regeneration,
Cornwall Council,
Penwinnick Road,
St Austell.
